Following six successful years at the helm of the Corinthia Palace Hotel, David Woodward will be retiring from his 50‐year career in hospitality and hotel management in July. Paying tribute to David, Joint-CEO Simon Naudi said that during his tenure at the Palace “David brought about a radical transformation in the quality of service delivery and significantly turned around the profitability of the operation. We thank him for his sterling service to the Company to‐date.”
Adrian Attard, currently General Manager of the Radisson Blu Hotel St Julian’s, will succeed David Woodward as General Manager of the Corinthia Palace Hotel. Carl Galea, currently Hotel Manager at the Marina Hotel, will succeed Adrian as GM of the Radisson Blu Hotel St Julian’s.
Aaron Vella, presently Director of Quality in charge of Rooms at the Radisson Blu Hotel St Julian’s, will be appointed Director of Operations at the Marina Hotel upon Carl Galea’s appointment at Radisson Blu Hotel St Julian’s.
As part of the reshuffle, Stuart Chappell, in addition to his current responsibilities as General Manager of the Corinthia Hotel St George’s Bay and the Marina Hotel, will, with effect from 1st July, also have oversight of the Radisson Blu Hotel St Julian’s, as Area General Manager.
